engaging Brent in the creation of better, greener places to live and work
George Osborne has declared war on the environment, and the Lib Dems are letting him get away with it.
Yesterday's announcement that wind subsidies have been spared a massive 25% cut was spun as a big victory for Ed Davey, the Lib Dem Energy Secretary.
But the reality is very different: Ed Davey has caved in to George Osborne's other demands, paving the way for decades of dirty gas.
This is a massive attack on Clean British Energy. Together we must stand up to it.
Treasury arm-twisting has forced the Lib Dem Energy Secretary, Ed Davey, to open the door to new gas-fired power stations.
So while Mr Davey may be claiming a victory for clean energy - by helping stop a 25% cut in wind subsidies - his concessions to George Osborne could lock the UK into dirty gas for decades.
Nick Clegg must stand up to the Chancellor's bullying and put strong, green ambition at the heart of the Energy Bill.
